Frequently asked questions
Meta's public Ad Library (Facebook & Instagram) and Google's Ads Transparency Center (Search, YouTube, Shopping, Display, Maps). Both only expose ads that are currently active — there is no historical archive of ads that already stopped running, through any method. If a competitor's ad stopped before we swept, it won't appear.
As current as the moment we run your sweep — both ad libraries are queried live at report-generation time, not from a cached or historical dataset. The tradeoff is the one above: they only expose currently-active ads, but what does show up reflects right now, not last month.
That's a real, useful finding on its own, and we don't take it at face value. Before writing it up, we run a control check against a company we already know is actively advertising, to confirm the search tools are working. If that comes back with real ads, a quiet result for your competitors reflects the market, not a broken search.
Meta and Google are live today for any market, including the EU and UK. TikTok and LinkedIn use the same underlying data provider but aren't wired up yet — they'll show as "coming soon" in the wizard until they are.
Typically 15–25 minutes from payment to a finished report, depending on how many competitors and platforms you selected. You'll get an email when it's ready.
Your email, your company's website (or a written description if you don't have one), and your target market. Everything else — which competitors, which platforms, which tier — is your choice in the wizard, and if you don't know your competitors, we can research the market from scratch instead.
Yes — list as many as you know (up to your tier's ceiling) with their websites, or leave the list empty and choose "research from scratch" to have the market mapped for you. You can also do a mix: list what you know and let us fill in the rest up to the ceiling.
It's what lets us confirm a competitor is a real, live business before it's allowed into your report, and what lets the ad sweep verify a match against a known domain instead of guessing from a name alone. We've had a system-identified competitor turn out not to exist at all before this check existed — it's not optional anymore.
Entirely AI-driven — a multi-agent pipeline does the research, the ad sweep, and the report writing end to end, with self-checks built into the process (like the control-check above). No one manually reviews each report before it's delivered; if something in yours looks off, tell us and we'll look into it.
Creative prompts and ad copy, not finished artwork. You get image-generation prompts sized for each platform's placements and ready-to-use ad copy — pairing the prompts with an image generator or your own designer is the last step.
A PDF, with the source Word document also available from your dashboard.
No — for a competitor running a large volume of ads, we sample enough (roughly 25 or so) to capture the real pattern in messaging and creative, rather than exhaustively cataloguing every ad. Every entry in the report links to the live ad itself, so you can go look at the full picture yourself.
No. It's a screen against major platforms' advertising policies and a note on relevant regulatory considerations, for reference only — not a formal legal review, and not a substitute for legal advice. If a claim or campaign genuinely matters to your business, confirm it with a qualified professional.
You can retry it from your dashboard at no extra charge — it picks up as the same paid run, not a new purchase. See the refund question below for what happens if you'd rather not retry.
Not automatically — each report is a one-time output, not an ongoing engagement. If something in it looks wrong, contact us and we'll figure out the right fix rather than promise unlimited revisions we don't yet support.
There's no self-serve refund flow yet. If a run fails, retry it free from your dashboard; if you'd rather not retry, or something in the finished report is clearly wrong, contact us directly and we'll sort out a refund by hand.
