The methodology behind every report
Every step below exists because a shortcut version of it failed in practice — a hallucinated competitor, a missed ad because of an abbreviated brand name, a suspicious result nobody double-checked. This is what actually runs.
01
You tell us your company & market
Your website (required), your target market, and — if you already know some of your competitors — their names and websites. If you don't, we research the market from scratch instead. Either way, every competitor needs a website: it's what lets us verify they actually exist and cross-reference ad-library matches against a known domain.
02
We build and verify your competitor set
For system-identified competitors especially, a name alone isn't proof a business is real. We fetch every candidate's actual website and confirm it resolves and describes a real, matching business before it's allowed into your report. A candidate that fails this check is dropped — a fabricated or defunct competitor is worse than one fewer real one.
03
We sweep every ad platform you selected
For every competitor, on every platform you picked, we check what's actively running right now — verbatim ad copy, real creative, and a link to the live ad so you can look at it yourself. Ad libraries only expose currently-active ads; there's no historical archive of ads that already stopped running, through any method.
04
We verify every result before it's final
A surprising result — like zero of your competitors running any ads at all — doesn't get written up on faith. We run a control search against a company we already know is actively advertising. If that comes back with real ads, the tools are working, and your result is a genuine market condition rather than a search or tooling failure.
05
We check for regulatory & platform-policy considerations
Based on your product category, we check whether any of the ad platforms' special or restricted ad categories apply — things like housing, employment, credit, or health content, which carry extra rules — and note any other regulatory considerations worth being aware of before you launch. This is for reference only, not legal advice; when it matters, confirm with a qualified professional before you run a campaign.
06
We turn it into a report
The final document covers your company snapshot, the verified competitor set and how it was built, per-competitor ad-sweep results, the regulatory read above, and concrete, ready-to-use ad recommendations sized for the platforms you picked.
